Chief administrator of the Town, responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities and services provided by the Town Departments and for implementing policies developed by the Town Council
The services performed in the Town Clerk’s office include vehicle registration, property tax collection, vital records, passports, marriage, voter registration, election administration, various licenses & notary public services
The Gorham Assessing Office annually establishes the value of all real and personal property for purposes of ad valorem taxation
The Code Enforcement Department is the source for inspections, codes, and appeals.
The Finance Department is responsible for the financial management of the Town of Gorham. This includes, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxes receivable, maintenance of the general ledger, payroll, cash management, and fixed asset management.
The Gorham Fire Department is an organization of men and women who are dedicated to providing the highest level of fire suppression, emergency medical, prevention, education and technical rescue services to our customers, the citizens of Gorham.
The Planning Department is responsible for the review and approval of major new residential and non-residential developments, special planning studies and updates to the Comprehensive Plan and the Land Use and Development Code.
The mission of the Gorham Police Department is to provide safety and security to the citizens of the Town of Gorham. We will accomplish this by listening to their concerns, exceeding their expectations, maintaining a high standard of integrity, and leading the fight to prevent crime and injustice by enforcing the laws of the State of Maine and the Constitution of the United States of America in a fair and impartial mananer.
The Public Works Department maintains Gorham's core services.
The Recreation Department offers community events and programs year-round.
The Baxter Memorial Library is a public library serving the residents of Gorham.
